Introduction
The incumbent is responsible for monitoring premises, conducting security checks, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations to protect personnel, assets, and the environment.
Job description
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the site.
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies.
- Report and investigate incidents of theft, vandalism, or safety breaches.
- Maintain an accurate record of incidents, investigations and security checks.
- Monitor access control points and maintain visitor logs.
- Conduct inspections of vehicles and personnel entering and exiting the site.
- Conduct breathalyser tests/assessments.
- Facilitate random drug selection for testing.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.
- Participate in safety drills and contribute to safety audits.
Minimum requirements
- Grade 12
- Three (3) years’ working experience in security. Experience in the mining industry will be added advantage.
- Basic Security Training Certificate and CCTV Operator Certificate will be an added advantage.
- Emergency Response Training will be an added advantage.
- Police Clearance Certificate not older than 6 months.
- Valid Code B Driver’s License.
